Senior Azure Data Engineer



Overview: We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Databricks, and will bring a strong ability to work independently while building lasting relationships with stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Databricks.
  


• Optimize and manage ETL processes to ensure data flows efficiently across the platform.
  


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and gather data requirements.
  


• Continuously improve data systems and architecture for enhanced performance and scalability.
  


• Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and deliverables are met.
  


• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and support in their career development.
  


• Proactively identify and address any potential issues or improvements within the data architecture.
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
  


• Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and ETL processes.
  


• Proficiency with Databricks for data engineering and analysis.
  


• Experience with Azure Fabric is a plus.
  


• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  


• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on proactive solutions.
  


• Strong communication skills, with a focus on building relationships across teams.
