What you do:

The Executive Protection Specialist will develop the strategy and overseeing the safety and security of executives, VIPs, and other high-profile individuals. We are looking for a proactive approach to risk management, exceptional situational awareness, and the ability to respond swiftly and effectively to potential threats.

You will have experience in managing protective service operations to support the senior executives, their families, and visiting VIPs. You will develop and manage the protective programs to include risk assessments of corporate events and individual travel.  You will coordinate personal protection, corporate and residential environments, event security, ground and air transportation, cyber threats and special projects. Contribute to a standard of measurement in quality and effectiveness as it relates to protective services.

Personal Protective Specialists are responsible for enhancing safety and security by remaining alert at all times. They also play a crucial role in adding comfort and convenience to the lives of those they serve.

  • Develop and refine policies and procedures that govern the Executive Protection (EP) Program;
    • Monitor external developments including, but not limited to, best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance the overall program.
    • Create standard operating procedures.
    • Recommend specific security features and communicate with executive protection partners to implement program details.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party assigned agents and coordinate schedules to ensure the appropriate coverage.
    • Create standard work instructions for agents
    • Communicate employee performance concerns to all stakeholders.
  • Conduct on-going performance improvement assessments and after-action reports.
  • Provide a safe and protective environment for senior executives of the company and other VIP’s visiting the executive suite
  • Identify and review performance of driving services to provide safe, defensive driving for executives to and from work, business meetings and special events
  • Conduct advance special event assessments in preparation for executive travel
  • Assist with executive and dignitary security at special events
  • Provide executive protection and logistics support, as needed
  • Serve as primary center point for disseminating accurate information regarding security-related incidents which may occur
  • Coordinate contingency plans and emergency medical response for security incidents while in the field
  • Under the direction of the Corporate Services Director, implement security and access control procedures of appropriate senior executive residences or temporary meeting locations to ensure safety
  • Make recommendations for the improvement of security measures as it relates to areas in and/or around executive environments
  • Assist senior executives of the company with low- to mid-level concerns, including but not limited to scheduling and property management to add convenience and bolster privacy
  • Assist in the identification and assessment of potential security threats in locations of interest, providing situations and timely information to aid decisions on security postures
  • Possess a ‘customer service’ acumen
  • Ability to work independently and to adapt to various work spaces while always maintaining a high-level of attentiveness, energy and professionalism
  • Technical Proficiency in Protective Intelligence Software: Ability to navigate protective intelligence platforms, understanding their functionalities, features, and integration capabilities with existing security systems to effectively monitor, analyze, and respond to potential threats.
  • Perform Third-party risk assessments as it relates to physical security by evaluating vendors and partners that our organization engages with.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain security protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop comprehensive security plans.
  • Provide close protection to executives and VIPs during travel, events, and daily activities.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and other security personnel to ensure seamless protection.
  • Monitor and analyze potential threats and vulnerabilities to individuals or company.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to firearm use.

What you bring:

  • Experience in developing, leading and managing an executive protection program
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in executive protection, law enforcement, or military.
  • 2+ years of experience in the corporate sector as an Executive Protection or Personal Protective Specialist.
  • 2+ years of experience in protective intelligence, physical security, emergency response, as well as security protocol implementation.
  • Previous corporate executive protection experience.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols and risk management.
  • Excellent physical fitness and the ability to respond to emergencies.
  • Exceptional situational awareness and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Advanced level training in medical emergencies, defensive tactics, close protection tactics, and evasive defensive driver training and firearms handling.
  • Ability to travel in the United States (Real ID required) and Internationally (passport required)
  • Four year degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Must have basic to high proficiency with AI and/or business intelligence
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship. 

Range:  $107,000 - $135,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
