Job Description

This person will be responsible for designing across the following categories: Boys, Toddler, Infant for our largest licensed national brand across major retailers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design seasonal collections in CAD for Boys, Toddler, Infant and Hat Accessories categories.
  • Strong knowledge in construction of knit and woven fabrics.
  • Develop seasonal products with a focus on quality.
  • Ability to design original prints and graphics in Illustrator.
  • Trim and Packaging development.
  • Responsible for seasonal CAD Presentations.
  • Create comprehensive design tech packages in PLM/Centric, ensuring all updates are accurately tracked and samples delivered on time.
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis through online and in-store shopping, with a strong focus on fabric innovations and consumer preferences.
  • Oversee sample management, maintain and organize the sample room.
  • Adapt artwork based on feedback, refining designs to meet final licensee approval standards.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date design files across all active seasons.
  • Learn and master new systems, including maintaining and updating AirTable with critical data points.
  • Participate in fittings and collaborate with factories to address and resolve technical issues.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and mills, managing daily communication to support product development.
  • Maintain Action and Development calendars to ensure timely execution across all design milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in children’s apparel, with a focus on fit, fabric development, and garment construction.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, with at least 3 days per week in the office and flexibility based on business needs.

Annual salary range starting at $90,000.

The disclosed salary range is commensurate with experience and does not reflect the total compensation package. Our associates have access to other valuable benefits that our Human Resources team is happy to share with candidates during the interview process.
