Position: EPIC Application Analyst

About the job: Onsite in hybrid model - 1 day/week (30 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43215)
This position is for an Epic Application Analyst to support the Outpatient Clinical Systems at OhioMHAS. This is a Hybrid position, requiring in-person work once a week and possibly more for training and operational needs. You will:
• In conjunction with Hospital Services, perform in-depth analysis of current and future workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the Epic EHR and designated third-party applications.
• Collect requirements on potential system enhancements or new implementations and prepare detailed specifications.
• Prioritize and implement requested changes to the system.
• Investigate standardization and process improvement opportunities while making build decisions.
• Validate that data is accurate and meets business requirements.
• Design and execute small-scale application testing as needed.
• Support installation and implementation of system patches, service utilities, and version upgrades.
• Troubleshoot, identify root causes, and document problems of simple to medium complexity for assigned applications and systems.
• Analyze and manage systems or third-party vendors/service providers to ensure service level agreements are met.
• Maintain data integrity and security for assigned applications and systems.
• Develop system documentation and communications for deployments, upgrades, optimizations, and other system changes.
• Analyze workflows and understand policies, procedures, and constraints in core clinical or business area(s).
• Partner with quality, operational, and business leaders on system design and optimization to meet quality, safety, financial, and efficiency goals.
Note: Out-of-state travel may be required.
Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Alternative 1:
• Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems
• 12 months combined work experience in multiple areas of assigned responsibility (e.g., infrastructure, database administration, software development, business process analysis)
Alternative 2:
• 36 months combined work experience in multiple areas of assigned responsibility (including 12 months as specified above)
Or:
• Equivalent minimum class qualifications for employment as noted.
Additional Preferred Qualifications: • Epic certification in one or more Epic modules (Epic Care Inpatient Clinical Documentation including Behavioral Health, Epic Care Inpatient Order Entry including Provider Documentation, Grand Central ADT including Transfer Center)
• Experience with Epic EHR
