Salary:

Louisville Paving and Construction is seeking aHeavy Equipment Shop Technicianwith at least 5 years experience repairing, inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting primarily CAT heavy construction equipment. In this role, mechanics will be responsible for repairs to the engine, electrical and hydraulic systems, among other duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain issues.
  
• Diagnose and perform repairs using CAT ET and SIS.
  
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  
• Work with minimal supervision and maintain a professional attitude.
  
• Welding experience an asset.
  
• Run routine maintenance.
  
• Maintain equipment logs.
  

Skills and Abilities

• 3 to 5 years experience working on CAT heavy equipment products.
  
• Field service experience will be given preference.
  
• Successful candidates must have their own tools with a valid drivers license in good standing.
  
• Ability to work weekends for an on-call schedule.
  

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to 75 lbs.
  
• Standing for 6+ hours a shift.
  
• Twisting, bending and crawling regularly throughout a shift.
