Qualifications and responsibilities for this HVAC Journeyman position include:- Journeyman HVAC certification with trade school training or apprenticeship completion.- Experience servicing, installing, and maintaining commercial/industrial HVAC systems.- Expertise in Automated Control Systems (Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls).- Knowledge of chillers, boilers, air handlers, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).- EPA Section 608 Type III or Universal Certification (proof required).- Read and interpret manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and project specifications.- Oversee and coordinate contractor work, ensuring compliance with safety standards.- Participate in college project planning and maintenance team meetings.- Work across three shifts with on-call responsibilities as needed.- Valid MI driver’s license with fewer than six points; local travel required.Salary: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, with step increases and potential earnings up to $40.00 per hour after three years.
