Job Description

Our client, a major player in the oil and gas industry, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the laboratory team supporting environmental testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab Tech 1

Location: Baton Rouge

Pay Rate: $26.14/hr

What's the Job?

• Conduct environmental and wet chemistry testing, including wastewater analysis.
• Perform laboratory analyses following regulatory guidelines and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of lab results and ensure proper documentation.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to track and analyze test results.
• Adhere to safety protocols and compliance regulations within the refinery lab environment.

What's Needed?

• Previous lab experience in an environmental setting, wastewater testing, or similar field.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to laboratory work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel for data tracking and analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
