Key Responsibilities: 

• Staff Management:
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Identifying and recruiting qualified core and agency nurses and allied support staff.
  • Performance Management: Evaluating performance, providing feedback, and addressing any issues per the performance management process.
  • Scheduling and Staffing:  Ensuring adequate staffing levels and managing schedules to meet unit needs.
  • Training and Development: Providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities for entire team.
• Patient Care:
  • Quality Assurance: Monitoring and ensuring the quality of patient care provided by team.
  • Communication: Facilitating effective communication between nurses, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Problem-Solving: Addressing patient care issues and resolving conflicts that may arise.
  • Environment: Develops and sustains an environment that supports excellence n clinical practice and promotes quality patient care with focus on safety.
• Operational Management:
  • Policy and Procedure Adherence: Ensuring that the team adhere to agency policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory standards.
  • Budget Management: Managing the budget related to staffing and other operational costs
  • Patient Relationship Management: Maintaining strong relationships with agency clients and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Leadership and Teamwork:
  • Team Leadership: Leading and motivating the team to achieve goals.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Mentorship: Providing mentorship and guidance to the entire team, particularly those who are new and are on orientation.
• Performs other duties as assigned 

Attributes:

Minimum Requirements:

• BSN Required
• NYS RN License
• BLS Required

Monday- Friday 7a-330pm and on call per requirements or as determined by Director of Nursing
