Lanco Integrated is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our growing team. This is an on-site internship located at our facility in Westbrook, Maine. The position will be 20-40 hours per week, depending on workload and availability.

Manufacturing Engineer Intern Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Minor design changes to existing automated assembly station designs
• Conduct vendor correspondence
• Creation of mechanical drawings of parts and assemblies
• Creation of Pneumatic Schematics
• Creation of BOM change documentation
• Participate in internal reviews, as required
• As needed, support the development of machine manuals by updating documentation
• Design of basic automated assembly stations
• Review design input information (Confirmation of Order, costing, schedule, customer parts, etc.). 
• Review technical and budgetary details with the Project Engineer
• Estimate and document station cycle times
• Assist in vendor correspondence and Requests for Quotation
• As needed, support the machine build process throughout the purchasing, manufacturing, assembly, and debug phases of the assigned projects
• As needed, assist in the development of standards in mechanical design
• As needed, assist Customer Service in support of Field Engineering
• As needed, assist in projects the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer may be involved in to further Lanco’s goals

Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications:

• Enrolled in an engineering program, or equivalent.
• Interest in automation design
• Proficient in MS Office, 3-D CAD Exposure
• Capable of performing basic mechanical engineering computations.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Travel may be required
