Job Title: Mental Health Clinician

Location: East Elmhurst, NY

Shift: Morning and Evening shift

Duration: 3 Months with a strong possibility of further extension

Pay range: $60-64/hr.

Job Duties:

• Provide quality mental health care to incarcerated adult men under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and Mental Health Unit Chief at the facility.
• Conduct mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, assessments, and follow-up care.
• Determine and coordinate appropriate disposition and level of mental health care for patients.
• Coordinate with Reentry Social Workers to support effective discharge planning.
• Complete required statistical reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with the Department of Corrections to ensure patient access, appropriate housing, and treatment disposition.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Unit Chief, Assistant Unit Chief, and Clinical Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Experience conducting both assessment and treatment with adults with behavioral problems, substance use histories, and severe mental illness.
• Inpatient or related experience.

Education & License:

• Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or related field.
• New York State License in Social Work, License in Mental Health Counseling, or licensure in Psychology.
