This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in either the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required. Duties and Responsibilities include prenatal care such as conducting regular checkups, monitoring fetal development, performing tests like ultrasounds, and providing nutritional counseling throughout pregnancy; labor and delivery assistance including monitoring vital signs, managing complications, and delivering babies; postpartum care including checking on the mother's recovery, providing breastfeeding support, and addressing concerns; gynecological care including well-woman exams, contraception counseling, and managing gynecological conditions; family planning education; patient education on pregnancy, childbirth, newborn care, and postpartum recovery; collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care; keeping up to date with current practices and innovations; and performing other duties as assigned in accordance with contract requirements. Qualifications include Registered Nurse (RN) license, Master's degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program, Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification, current certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong clinical judgment, knowledge of midwifery practices including normal and high-risk pregnancy management, ability to provide patient education and support, required public health clearance with immunization and physical health certification, proficiency with computers and MS Office, ability to perform duties in a stressful and high-paced environment, and flexibility in work requirements including potential shift changes.
