Description:

Larson Financial Group LLC is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Operations Manager to lead and optimize the technology and workflow infrastructure within our insurance department. This individual will play a critical role in streamlining operations, enhancing system efficiency, and ensuring seamless experience for clients and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a background in and/or exposure to technology, process improvement, operational improvements, people leadership and management, and knowledge about the infrastructure of both life and disability insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology & Workflow Optimization:

  • Evaluate, design, and implement workflow improvements using current and emerging technologies.
  • Act as a liaison between the Insurance department and IT/Tech partners to drive system enhancements and troubleshooting issues.
  • Lead automation and digital transformation efforts that increase efficiency and reduce manual touchpoints.
  • Own and manage the department's operational tech stack (CRM, policy management tools, eApp platforms, etc.).

Process Management & Documentation:

  • Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, and process maps.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, redundancies, or inefficiencies across the policy lifecycle (quoting, underwriting, issuance, and post-issue service).
  • Monitor KPIs related to cycle times, touchpoints, and error rates; use data to drive decision-making.

People Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of insurance operations professionals.
  • Set clear goals, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Align team structure and roles with evolving department needs and strategic priorities.
  • Encourage collaboration, innovation, and professional growth within the team.

Stakeholder Support & Training:

  • Partner with advisors, client service teams, and carriers to ensure smooth coordination and execution of insurance processes.
  • Train and support team members on new systems, tools, and workflow updates.

  • An ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while meeting set deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy, and a high level of accuracy and accountability.

  • Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality with client information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proficiency in workflow automation tools and technologies.
  • Experience in the tech industry and/or insurance industry. Must be prepared for a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and DocuSign.
  • Agile or PMP certification and/or experience in similar process improvement methodologies. (Lean Sigma).
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., SMARTSHEET) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in operational management, workflow optimization, or related role.
