A packaging manufacturer near the Bardstown, KY area i s looking for a Quality Manager to join their plant. You will oversee the Quality Department team & activities. The ideal candidate will have Quality management experience within the packaging manufacturing industry.

This is a full-time position with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401 (K), paid holidays & vacation. Must be able to work on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize continuous improvement activities to manage Quality direction
• Hands-on leadership – ensure performance goals are met
• Monitor Quality Assurance – meet food & safety requirements
• Ensure Quality Management System compliance – plan & execute supplier audits
• Support interdepartmental communication – address & resolve customer issues
• Support all quality process functions (customer & product design to product delivery & customer satisfaction)
• Monitor & meet budget goals – lead cost reduction activities

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate or Technical degree preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality leadership within a manufacturing facility
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of bag making machine operations
• Quality Management System experience (ISO 9001)
• Food Safety Management System experience (BRC or ISO 2200)
• Attention to detail & strong organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Able to intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch & lift up to 30 pounds
