SUMMARY

ADAPT of the Hudson Valley is seeking a Recruiter with energy, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas to help us staff our innovative programs and services. Job candidates are our customers, and customer service is our top priority. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, ability to manage competing priorities, and the agility to navigate the evolving field of hiring and recruiting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will:

· Be responsible for delivering all facets of the recruiting process.

· Identify and recruit the best applicants for open vacancies by reviewing resumes/applications, assessing the knowledge, skills, and experience of candidates.

· Conduct onsite and virtual interviews, reference checks, process offers/rejections and new hire paperwork.

· Post openings using all position-appropriate venues - i.e. electronic recruitment systems, online job boards, college boards, etc.

· Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, recruiting agencies, and employee referrals.

· Build networks in order to locate qualified candidates. Attend professional meetings, job and career fairs and be able to handle high volume recruiting.

· Be able to establish and build relationships with hiring supervisors and departments, colleges and universities to assist in filling vacancies.

Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· 1 -2 years of experience in high volume recruiting (SHRM Certification a plus)

· Be able to multi-task and adapt to a fast-changing environment

Experience recruiting for Direct Care or Human Services a huge plus

· Be flexible/Organized/ and possess Excellent Communication skills

· Have strong Computer/HRIS and Microsoft product use experience

· Experience working in electronic applicant tracking system, i.e. Paylocity, Indeed, etc

· Demonstrate a strong work ethic

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports and documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries, concerns or complaints from employees and customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Basic understanding of statistics.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to resolve conflicts and mediate stressful situations.
