A-Line Staffing is now hiring Remote Clinical Pharmacist – Prior Authorization.  This Pharmacist will be working for a Fortune 500 company with long-term career growth potential.

Clinical Pharmacist Compensation

• The pay for this position is up to $53.00 per hour .

Clinical Pharmacist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to be extended or converted based on performance and business need.
• 100% remote – Must reside in the U.S. and hold an active North Carolina Pharmacist license .
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM EST .
• Must have private, secure home workspace and reliable high-speed internet (25 Mbps down / 3 Mbps up).

Clinical Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate prior authorization requests for commercial and specialty medications
• Render coverage determinations based on clinical criteria and plan design
• Communicate approvals and denials to providers and patients clearly and professionally
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and clinical staff
• Conduct inbound/outbound calls with providers and patients regarding authorization status
• Use clinical resources (e.g., Lexicomp, Micromedex) to support decision-making
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drug therapies and plan-specific criteria
• Protect confidential patient and company data in compliance with Teleworker Privacy standards

Clinical Pharmacist Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in North Carolina
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
• Clinical and/or call center pharmacy experience
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Access to a smartphone for VPN token access
• Must list internet speed test on resume from
• High school diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in prior authorization or managed care pharmacy
• Familiarity with specialty medications and complex clinical reviews
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
