Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Developer to join a growing company in the Baton Rouge, LA area. This is a hybrid role but does require Louisiana residency. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining PHP web applications, with a strong emphasis on both front-end and back-end development. Must be skilled in UI and front-end design concepts/best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, MySQL (or similar databases), HTML, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with the existing team in an Agile environment to design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements for internal and externally facing applications.
• Bring a fresh perspective to the team, contributing innovative ideas and solutions.
• Work effectively with multiple personality types, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Showcase a strong portfolio or GitHub repository during the interview process is a big plus.
• Focus on UI development to complement the team's existing back-end strengths.
• Engage in projects related to internal and external business applications, including bringing fresh perspectives on best practices / new ideas to the table.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years professional experience with PHP
• Strong technical skills and confidence in coding abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Bachelor's degree or higher is not required.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Strong UI development skills are highly desirable.
