SFM, a MN based company, is growing and adding a Sr Marketing Underwriter in Indiana. As a Sr Marketing Underwriter in Indiana, you will be part of a multi-functional team underwriting workers' compensation policies focusing on mid-market business. This is a fully remote position and is a new position given our growth and expansion in the state of Indiana.
Our Marketing Underwriters work as underwriters and marketers. As an underwriter, you will use relevant facts to make sound decisions to determine whether to underwrite new business or renew current business on accounts. The marketing duties involve developing and maintaining agency/broker relationships to achieve success with new business goals, retention of renewals and loss experience. There is very little overnight travel and you will have underwriting authority when working with agents. Decisions made are consistent with company and team goals and objectives. Identifying trends and underwriting practices that could impact the team’s book of business will be a responsibility.
This a fully remote position working in Indiana, and applicants must live in or around the Indianapolis, IN area.
Salary Range: $80,340 to $112,475 per year

The base pay posted is just one component of SFM’s total compensation package. The salary range listed represents the full compensation range for this position. Job title and starting pay will be based on the selected candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, and education, if applicable as well as internal equity with other employees in the same job classification.
Physical Requirements:
Work takes place in a semi paperless environment within an office setting or home office setting, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, which requires being stationary for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and work with close vision. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Work is performed indoors with little to no exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions. Travel as needed.
