Surgery Scheduler for Saint Vincent's Urology

The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patients for surgery, tests, referrals, medical and cardiac clearance, pre-op tests, and reviewing medications and health history.

Responsibilities include:

1. Scheduling patients for surgery and completing facility paperwork.
2. Scheduling diagnostic tests such as bone scans, MRI, CT, EMG/NCS, ESI.
3. Reviewing patients medications and health history to determine pre-admission testing needs.
4. Scheduling appropriate medical and cardiac clearances.
5. Scheduling follow-up appointments and tests for patients.
6. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED; evidence of Medical Terminology proficiency.

Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in a medical office.

Certifications: BLS certification required.
