Job Title: Trauma Therapist

Overview:

Mentally STRONG is committed to providing high-quality mental health care that specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) using the Mentally STRONG Method. We are seeking a licensed Trauma Therapist to join our team. Providing dedicated trauma-focused therapy to our clinic patients for a set number of sessions. The ideal candidate will specialize in trauma-related care and be trained in modalities such as Brainspotting, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), or other trauma-focused therapies.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct trauma-informed assessments and individualized treatment plans over a set number of sessions.
• Provide trauma-focused therapy using Brainspotting, EMDR, or other evidence-based trauma treatments.
• Collaborate with the medical and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Educate patients on coping strategies and self-regulation techniques.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain client confidentiality.

Requirements:

• Licensed in Colorado as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist.
• Specialized training in trauma-focused therapies (Brainspotting, EMDR, or similar).
• Strong desire to work in a collaborative environment with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners and Mentally STRONG Psychoeducation counselors.
• Experience working with trauma survivors and understanding of PTSD.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently within a medical clinic setting.
• Commitment to professional growth and continuing education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level 1 Brainspotting certification. (An online 4 hour course)
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary medical practice.
• Familiarity with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and its integration with trauma treatments.
• Prior experience with short-term trauma-focused therapy models.

Compensation & Schedule:

• 1099 contractor position or willing to negotiate W-2
• Competitive compensation per session.
• Flexible scheduling within clinic hours.
