General Information: The unit is staffed with a team of registered nurses, a clinical nurse coordinator, and support staff. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:1. Scheduling requirements typically involve weekdays with early morning shifts. There may be on-call responsibilities requiring flexibility in hours. Floating may occur within the scope of practice and experience. Responsibilities include:

• Initiating large-bore IVs.
• Assisting with hair removal and medication administration.
• Conducting skin assessments.
• Supporting the placement of arterial lines, central lines, and epidurals.
• Transporting patients to the operating room.
• Assisting with induction, intubation, positioning, and skin preparation.
