Salary: $30 - $45 plus $178 Per Diem

Job Summary: Prometheus Wind is seeking rope access technicians with experience in the Wind Turbine Industry. Work with professional and coordinated teams completing turbine repairs and maintenance across the US with the possibility of occasional international work. Crews are guaranteed 40 hours/week but often average 60-80 hours/week. Travel to and from sites is covered, Per diem is earned every day spent deployed, and overtime is 1.5x hourly rate.

Responsibilities: As a rope access blade repair technician you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks both at height and on the ground. You will be expected to perform these tasks in accordance with all safety and work protocols.You will work closely with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.

• Use rope access techniques to perform and lead rope access technicians in advanced inspections, maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of wind turbines.
  
• Develop and implement rope access work plans and risk assessments
• Adhere to safety procedures, including proper equipment inspection, fall protection measures and communication protocols
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills of a SPRAT or IRATA Rope Access Level 2 or 3 Technician
• Conduct on-site safety briefings and training sessions for team members (Level 3)
• Prepare detailed reports of all work performed, including any issues or incidents
• Perform intermediate and advanced level wind turbine blade inspection, repair and maintenance tasks as assigned
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the work environment, ensuring a safe and compliant worksite
• Maintain climbing logbook per SPRAT/IRATA guidelines
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
  

Requirements

• Valid drivers license
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
• Current GWO (BST) certified
• SPRAT or IRATA certified
• Must possess advanced theoretical knowledge of rope access equipment and techniques
• Ability to work at heights
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Must be able to pass a background check
  
• Authorized to work in the United States

Desirable Experience and Training

• 2+ years experience as a rope access technician on wind turbines
• Highschool diploma or GED
