The Office of Technology & Innovation seeks an experienced Senior EEO Investigator to report to the Assistant Commissioner of EEO & Diversity Management. The Senior EEO Investigator is a trusted advisor to employees and management, helping maintain a fair, inclusive, and productive work culture. Under the direction of the Assistant Commissioner of EEO & Diversity Management, the Senior EEO Investigator will conduct internal EEO investigations and prepare advisory memos, investigative reports, for complaint/issue resolution, process reasonable accommodation requests and provide guidance on the agency's policy regarding reasonable accommodations to employees, supervisors, and other management officials, perform EEO legal work and research of fact and questions of law and develop and conduct EEO-related training for all Agency staff. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Assist in the development of the Agency’s Diversity and Inclusion strategic plans. Ensure effective fulfillment of the Agency’s EEO obligations as provided by the City Charter and other Federal, State and Local employment laws. Advise executive, managerial, and supervisory staff on EEO matters and meeting with them regularly to ensure that best practices are followed in connection with all employment decisions, including selection, transfers, and promotions. Work with the Assistant Commissioner to develop strategies to improve diversity and promote a more inclusive workplace. Partner with Human Resources professionals including the coordinator for the 55-A program and other internal/external entities to ensure compliance. Compile statistical data on EEO matters and preparing all required reports. Assist in the preparation of responses to any audits as required. Perform related work as directed by the Assistant Commissioner of EEO & Diversity Management.
