Physicians independently perform a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections and are also responsible for selecting and utilizing appropriate diagnostics and/or therapeutic procedures for patients. Job Requirements include graduation from an accredited medical school, 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience, minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting, and board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine. Experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting and applicable office procedures such as suturing and splinting are required. Responsibilities include examining and treating patients, taking medical histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays, making diagnoses, prescribing medications, treating minor injuries, recording progress notes, educating and counseling patients, giving vaccinations, referring patients to additional care, and supervising GoHealth PA/NPs remotely. Providers work anticipated eight or twelve hour shifts. Additional duties as assigned.
